I mean, Nokia was still selling pretty much phones before Elop stepped in as CEO and decided to end that. We Finns are still proud of handsets Nokia made before being sold to Microsoft so durable stuff is still valued even if not manufactured as much as they used to be. Just looking at Steam forums reminds of this as people complain about spending $50 on any joystick, getting them to save money for better things instead is really difficult. One thing is that people often buy something made of cheap plastic that will break easily instead of something more durable: if there's not enough demand for higher quality stuff then there's no supply either. Often during time something is manufactured there are internal changes to make manufacturing cheaper and to increase profits so they might not be compatible. Well, I agree that they should be fixable but these days they often are not, which is unfortunate and causes huge piles of garbage. I won't buy another stick either unless I hear that the company supports their stuff. When everything is disposable, everything is trash. Sorry, when something costs 150 bucks you ought to be able to keep it going for a decent interval. I'd gladly pay more for products made in the USA that last more than for the duration of a crummy two year warranty. My gas grill is 25 years old and works as well as the day I bought it. I have stuff in my attic from 30 years ago that works as good as the day I bought it. And yeah, it lasted way more than two years. Plus, I'm old enough to remember when everything was made in the USA. Originally posted by goofey:The parts must be available, they are still selling the exact same stick.
